The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for leading by example in the support, enhancement, and operational delivery of mission critical Flexential managed IT services, specifically Cloud Compute and Hypervisor Platforms. The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for ongoing allocation of compute and virtualized resources (Cisco UCS and Dell rackmount) to all Cloud platforms for internal and external customers. Cloud Platforms are geographically dispersed and, as such, require a "remote hands" approach to technical support leveraging vendor and local datacenter technicians.Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

Implement and support Cloud compute Infrastructure (including installation, configuration, upgrade, patching, and maintenance & monitoring).
Installs and configures rackmount servers and blades.
Manages vCenter, vCloud Director, ESXi, UCS Manager, vRealize Operations and other tools.
Act as an operations escalation point for service exceptions, participating in an on-call rotation
Support, document, and execute migrations and upgrades to support platform asset lifecycle management.
Validate operational processes and produce effective documentation.
Produce Method of Procedures that demonstrate understanding of changes proposed and how the change will be executed with minimal service impact.
Find opportunities and build scripts for automating deployments and recurring tasks.
Monitor and correct performance issues, preferably in a proactive manner.
Support, document, and execute on migrations and upgrades in support of platform asset lifecycle management.
Responsible for capacity planning and performance analysis.
Troubleshoot difficult problems and recommend appropriate actions, enlisting peer and vendor support as needed.
Mentor and develop team members to build a strong engineering organization. Promote a culture of innovation, pride, performance, and disciplined execution.
Engage in professional development to maintain professional skills and knowledge.
Work with Design and Build Teams to assist in development of new solutions as well as to provide operational feedback on existing production platforms.
Assist in scoping, simulating, and performing disaster recovery-related exercises.
Provide assistance cross-functionally in support of Windows, Linux, and ESXi performance troubleshooting and optimization.
Position may be required to work weekends or nights to execute maintenance activities
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation (one week rotating shifts).
Occasional travel may be required.
Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field required or equivalent experience.
10+ years IT Experience with VMware ESXi Implementation and Support.
6+ years experience with Cisco UCS.
8+ years experience with Dell or Other Vendor rackmount server solutions.
4+ years experience with Zerto.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with VMware vRealize Operations
Experience with VMware NSX
Experience with EMC, Netapp, Infinidat, Hitachi and/or Object Storage platforms a plus
CCNA, CCNP, VCP, VCIX, or equivalent industry certifications
ITIL Foundation

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Walk or Stand for 15% of the time
Moderate or advanced keyboard usage
Lift 25 lbs.
Travel 5% of the time

Benefits are subject to change at the Company's discretion.

Base Pay Range: Annualized salary range offered for this position is estimated to be $124,000 - $144,000. However, the actual pay range depends on each candidate's experience, location, and qualifications.

Variable Pay: Discretionary annual bonus, based on personal and company performance.
