Position Overview
The Infinity Digital Engineering Solutions (DES) Product Team and Innovation Team are jointly seeking a qualified candidate to help implement software architecture, design, development, and delivery of Infinity's DES Product Line to various USSF, USAF, and other DoD and Federal stakeholders.
With digital models - representations of complex systems in a digital format - at the forefront of future DoD planning and warfighting, Infinity is building the technology to accelerate their use.
The DES Product Line consists of software solutions that integrate Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models with digital ecosystems and automates their interaction with analytical tools.
Emerging DES technologies include MBSE model orchestration and Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) applications to enhance Systems Engineering reviews.
This Software Engineer (SWE) role implements design and product test strategy of end-to-end software services for the DES Product Line.
From understanding system requirements and system architecture for software-level design, the SWE collaborates with a team of developers and systems engineers to deliver value with each feature.
This person will use prior expertise implementing microservices, API interface, and/or data services to integrate with a unified DES development effort for each product.

Primary Responsibilities
This position is for a DES software development team member who will implement system design to build innovative and scalable software products using microservices.
Job Responsibilities:

Implement and evolve software design for the Infinity DES portfolio of software products and microservices-based mission solutions for DoD Customers
Support software roadmap efforts for Innovation product prototypes
Support Customer engagement to translate needs into product features
Provide technical contributions to SW code baselines, including SW code reviews
Support new Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) proposals, business development initiatives, and other corporate growth opportunities that re-use or evolve corporate Cloud Native technology
Minimum Qualifications
Experience coding with languages such as Java, Python, and C+
Experience developing RESTful services, APIs, and microservice-based architectures
Experience implementing relational and non-relational database offerings
Experience with Agile and prior involvement with Scrum/Kanban teams
Ability to follow architecture designs and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively with teammates, leadership, and customers
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting with people of different experience/education levels and virtually in geographically disperse locations
Ability to think critically and solve difficult problems with SW tools and methods
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coding with front-end languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, Angular, and React
Experience developing front-end software solutions
Experience with building public-cloud hosted containerized microservices
Experience with containerization, DevSecOps, and CI/CD software pipelines
Experience with software planning, architecture, requirements, and test strategy
Knowledge of cybersecurity features and best practices within software design
AWS or Azure Cloud Certification

Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training is required to fulfill this position.
Candidates who are in the process of obtaining an relevant Bachelor's Degree will be considered if timing of obtaining Bachelor's Degree coincides with position start date.
This position is suited for mid-level candidates.
The level placement of the selected candidate will be Staff (IC3) or Senior Staff (IC4) based on the specific qualifications and previous relevant experience as outlined below.
Those candidates qualified at the Staff (IC3) level will be expected to meet some or all of the minimum and preferred qualifications and possess 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Those candidates qualified at the Senior Staff (IC4) level will be expected to meet some or all of the minimum and preferred qualifications and possess 4-8 years of relevant experience.
