Job Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate with clients and financial management outsourcing staff for timely and accurate monthly finance and accounting services, including:

o Monitoring and analyzing inventory transactions, ensuring the accurate recording and valuation of inventory in compliance with accounting standards.

o Developing and implementing inventory accounting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

o Conducting monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reconciliations to ensure accurate inventory records.

o Preparing and analyzing inventory reports for clients, providing insights and recommendations for inventory management.

o Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and ensuring inventory-related accounts are accurately reflected.

• Provide technical expertise on US GAAP requirements.

• Participate in the development and maintenance of accounting systems to facilitate efficient operation and financial management of CPG clients.

• Perform detailed reviews of periodic client-use-only and compiled financial statements and supporting schedules.

• Act as a liaison on behalf of clients with external auditors and internal decision-makers.

• Foster proactive working relationships with clients and cross-functional departments to ensure timely and accurate receipt of information required for financial reporting.

• Support business development efforts by participating in prospect meetings, calculating pricing, and drafting engagement letters.

• Guide and support the onboarding of new clients, including client and staff training, allocation of resources, and client work assignments.

• Drive career and skills development for staff consultants and senior consultants by actively engaging with them as their performance coach.

Requirements

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in all facets of accounting and finance, including GL, AP, AR, PR, budgeting/forecasting, and reconciliations.

• Proven inventory accounting experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry.

• Strong analytical and accounting skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in understanding and analyzing complex operating agreements.

• Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively; enjoy working independently with clear deadlines and deliverables.

• Proficiency in multiple accounting software, including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Intacct; able to shift from one to another.

• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Proficiency in SAP is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience setting up and implement systems and procedures a plus.

• CPA or CMA license

Certain states require us to disclose the pay range and benefits summary for job openings. The compensation range for this position: $122,400 - $165,600. Compensation may vary based on skills, role, and location.
