Our client, a mid-sized Bay Area CPA Firm, is looking to add an experienced Tax Manager.
The Tax Manager is involved in almost all the areas for which partners are responsible.
This role exhibits technical proficiency and the ability to supervise and complete engagements while serving as intermediaries between partners, clients, and senior accountants.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
Expected starting base salary $125,000 to $150,000 per year.

A focused ability to take charge and meet tight deadlines will ensure your success in this multi-faceted role.
Develop a full range of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations with a time frame.Build relationships and interact with client.Provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.Review engagement work papers, resolve any problems, spot issues.Prepare client billings and monitor realization on engagements.Manage the tax provision and tax compliance process.Manage and coordinate tax audits.Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis.Establish a habit of accuracy and promptness in preparing administrative reports and of compliance with the Firm's administrative procedures, i.e.
time sheets, expense reports, department meetings.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and new regulations.
Requirements:
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsAble to communicate with professionals at all levelsAble to communicate complex information to a variety of audiencesCompassionate and supportive personnel management skills.High-level project and client specific skills to assess problems or unusual situations and quickly create efficient solutions.
Experience:
Licensed CPABA in Accounting or MA in Taxation.Proven work experience as a Tax Manager.Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns.Demonstrates a working knowledge of CCH Products (ProSystem fx Tax, Engagement, Client Portal, etc.).
