Overview

Purpose Statement/Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse Lead provides clinical and administrative supervision for a designated shift.
Provides front-line supervision to staff on designated shift.
Works with Managers to improve quality of care and customer/staff satisfaction.
Functions as the primary Charge Nurse and develops systems to ensure efficient work-flow and collaborative relationships with MDs.
Maintains open communication with managers regarding patients, family, personnel and issues.
Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
5+ years in acute pediatrics; a minimum of 1 year in Charge Nurse Role.
Expert clinical knowledge of units patient population.
Ability to lead others.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both verbally and in writing.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:
BSN required or in progress with completion within 5 years.
California RN Licenses; Current CPR Card.
National Certification Required

Pay Scale Information

$130,000.00-$224,130.00

CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization.
Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.
The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
