The Job

The Vice President of Strategic Transactions is responsible for continuing SCAN's growth strategy through sourcing, pipelining, and executing M&A deals. The VP of Strategic Transactions reviews analysis of mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures and interprets financial models estimating revenue growth, profitability, and impact on the organization's strategic business plans.

You Will

Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and other senior leaders to identify, develop, and implement a sound acquisition and development plan.
Direct and further develop all sourcing processes and outreach including use of M&A software platform to track deals.
Create acquisition and development strategies and criteria and create replicable internal processes for M&A.
Develop and review various finance and operational processes for mergers and acquisitions including underwriting materials and supporting investment thesis to be presented to Executive Leaders and Board members for acquisition support and approval.
Leads and conducts due diligence to understand the target company's business and legal practices, liabilities, financial standing, and intellectual property.
Lead and coordinate cross departmental due diligence processes to consistently ensure M&A process success.
Build relationships, negotiate, document, and assist in transaction execution.
Define and develop key performance indicators; analyze and interpret operational performance and track key business development objectives and strategic initiatives.
Help coordinate and drive accurate financial analysis of acquisition prospects, such as valuations, proformas, contingency plans, and deal structure.
Communicate and coordinate acquisition activity and status with finance, legal, and operations.
Develop and present acquisition support materials to all key stakeholders including: ELT/SLT, BOD and lenders (if applicable), and other stakeholders.
Actively support the achievement of SCAN's Vision and Goals.

Your Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education/experience and/or training
10-15 years of experience in healthcare, strategic planning and implementation of business transformation type initiatives, or related field
5+ years of leadership experience, management consulting and/or a similar role
Strong planning, critical thinking and leadership skills.
Ability to work cross functionally with all levels of the organization.
Ability to drive strategic direction.
Strong influence and persuasion skills.
Strong project management skills, using analytics, user research and other approaches to help make decisions.
Excellent interpersonal, group motivation and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
Experience with coordinating diverse groups of individuals to achieve overall program success.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Ability to motivate and inspire large and diverse teams, manage multiple projects on a real-time basis, and identify and resolve operational and integration challenges.
Ability to govern with unquestionable ethics and unswerving integrity.
