Job Summary

Scottsdale Community College (SCC) is seeking a full-time Grants Officer Sr. to lead college grants efforts, including grant management and grant development. This position plans, coordinates and communicates grant funding processes and procedures; collaborates with internal and external partners in determining funding needs and identifying program requirements and funding opportunities; serves as designated subject matter expert and researches, designs and develops grant proposals; offers training and development for college faculty and staff regarding grants. This person also leads the college's Grants Advisory Committee (GAC), monitors grant budgets and expenses, performs purchasing functions, and compliance with reporting regulations and funding requirements. Conducts internal grant reviews.

Essential Functions

35% - Supports the development and implementation of SCC grants management processes, including: Coordinating, communicating, and ensuring implementation of SCC and MCCCD grant funding processes and procedures; Chair the SCC Grants Advisory Committee (GAC); Implement the SCC Grants Strategic Plan; Developing and delivering pre-award and post-award trainings for faculty and staff.

20% - Researches, identifies, and analyzes funding opportunities aligned with college needs, including: Communicating public resource development trends, funding legislation and regulations, and funding opportunities; Collaborates with stakeholders to evaluate and align program needs with funding opportunities.

20% - Coordinates, advises, and participates in the proposal development process, including: Conducting research and leads project design, grant-writing, budget preparation, and forms completion for external funding opportunities; Providing technical assistance and facilitates the proposal approval and submission process to assist in the development of competitive proposals.

25% - Tracks and monitors grant goals, outcomes, and reporting including: Interpreting and advising project teams on regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance; Develops and implements internal monitoring procedures and maintains a grant t.
