Job Summary

Manages all aspects of Environmental Health and Safety compliance programs for the affiliated companies.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential

Regulatory Compliance
Develops and implements compliance training by leveraging principles of People Based Safety.
Direct and complete safety training, that promotes behavior-based safety, for all employees.
Complete all necessary and required safety documentation such as OSHA 300, worker's compensation logs, and safety analytics.
Ensure environmental compliance and reporting is complete and accurate.
Incident and Claim Management Works closely with field management on incident prevention plans.
Monitor worker's compensation claims, assist in medical management, and costs.
Inspections and Audits Conducts Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) site inspections and audits, prepares gap analysis and action plans and follows-up visit with support to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
Assists with injury reporting, incident analysis, and concerns regarding hazards in the workplace.
Complete site-specific safety audits and assessments, driver assessments and ride alongs, etc.
Provide front line supervisors with corrective action assignments and completion tracking.
Program Management Assists in the development, implementation and maintenance of safety and health programs, systems, and procedures to assure applicable federal, state and local compliance related to occupational and environmental health and industrial hygiene are met.
Ensure safety programs are effective and complete for all including:
Hazardous fuel handling
DOT Driving
Fire Suppression
Other OSHA/MSHA requirements
Other Site-Specific Safety Requirements

Recommends improvements in processes, design, procedures, and operation to minimize hazards.
Help to manage the Safety Committee's activities.
Manage emergency response plans.

Work Environment Typically work is performed in an office setting and work sites.
Frequent visits to customer sites of various work environments.
Occasional work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
Occasional work in dusty, wet, dirty environments
Occasional work in hot or cold environments.
Physical Demands Able to sit for extended periods of time.
Able to move freely around work sites.
Able to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, bend, and stoop.
Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
Able to move about office setting to complete responsibilities.
Frequent use of phone, computer, and office equipment.
Travel +/- 30%
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required Two or more years' experience in Safety Management, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Acceptable driving record.
Strong computer skills and able to learn company systems and processes.
Adheres to the company's values and ethical expectations.
Able to effectively multitask.
Understanding of DOT regulations and compliance.
Excellent understanding of OSHA/MSHA regulations
Ability to train in Smith Systems, Forklift Training, Reasonable Suspicion and any others pertinent to Safety.
Preferred Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health or a related field.
Five or more years' experience in safety management for an oil/gas/transportation or related industry.
Strong understanding and background with third party management systems (ISNet, Avetta, Variform).
Current CSP or CIH credential.
Class A CDL with Hazmat/Tanker endorsement.
