Early Childhood Support Specialist Director of Pre-K Education

PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Making a positive difference in the lives of young children by working in an educational environment, providing administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the Pre-Kindergarten office. The Pre-K Office Assistant will handle various clerical tasks, support the teaching staff, and interact with parents and children, contributing to a positive and efficient program atmosphere.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Must have 60 college hours or pass the paraprofessional praxis college degree preferred. Previous experience in an educational setting is preferred.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Maintain Pre-K waiting lists and assist with enrollments. 2. Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and other inquiries. 3. Maintain and organize student records, files, and databases. 4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as Google Suites for Education 5. Assist in the preparation and distribution of program communications and newsletters 6. Attend Pre-K staff meetings and related professional development. 7. Manage calendars for staff and administration. 8. Provide daily breaks to classroom faculty to meet licensing regulations. 9. Ensure confidentiality with regard to child and family data. 10. Perform other duties as requested.
