Diesel and Chemical Specialist - Kuparuk - Materials Group JOB SUMMARY
The Diesel and Chemical Specialist is responsible for assisting in all phases of diesel and chemical activities. This position reports directly to Materials Foreman and must be able to communicate effectively both written and verbally with AES and Client management. A successful candidate will be a results-oriented self-starter with the ability to identify, undertake and complete initiatives with minimum direct supervision. Additionally, this is a multi-skilled position, and candidates must be willing to learn, and perform duties outside their normal craft.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
•Perform Goods Receipt transactions for all bulk chemicals for Kuparuk and Alpine fields.

•Reconcile diesel/gas usage on a daily/weekly basis for Kuparuk and Alpine fields.

•Issue daily usage of diesel.

•Track movement of bulk chemical usage and maintain field volumes.

•Correspond with vendors on materials that need to be purchased for end users.

•Create Purchase Requisitions for multiple departments within the field.

•Issue/Receive daily Ice Road chemical loads.

•Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets and Chemical permits.

•Knowledge of SAP, IP21 and DLR databases as well as OPW Fuel Management System.

•Coordinate shipment of Chemical totes.

•Verify incoming invoices for chemicals.

•Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.

•Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
•A valid (U.S issued) Driver's License is required.

•A High School Diploma or GED is required.

•The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 2x2 rotation is required.

•A North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) safety training certification is required.

•A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience is required.

•Alpine field knowledge and experience is required.

•Proficient experience with programs Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, SAP, and IP21 is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Five (5) or more years' experience working in a construction or industrial setting, the Oil and Gas or Petrochemical industry, on the North Slope, and/or in an Arctic environment is preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE
While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet are free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
