Students and faculty from all over the world converge at the University of Alaska Fairbanks to study subjects unique to Alaska and the North as well as to sharpen their skills with Oxford commas, digital photography equipment, shovels, beakers, paintbrushes, and stage lights.

The departments within the College of Liberal Arts have a variety of student positions available during the academic year.
Some are paper graders, assistants in various areas of the Theater department, models in the Art Department, foreign language tutors, or office assistants in any of the departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school completion or GED and minimum enrollment in 6 university credits.

To be eligible for student employment, a applicant must:

a) Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment, or the intent to enroll in six credit hours during the upcoming Fall 2024 semester.

b) Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or higher.

Must have good communication and organizational skills.

Position Details:

This is a part-time, student assistant position.
The CLA starting hourly rate for Student Assistant positions is $14.38.

• Each university within the University of Alaska system publishes an Annual Security and Fire Safety Report which contains information regarding campus safety and security including topics such as:
campus law enforcement authority; crime reporting policies; campus alerts (Timely Warnings and Emergency Notifications); fire safety policies and procedures; programs to prevent dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking; the procedures the University will follow when one of these crimes is reported; and other matters of importance related to security on campus.
The report also contains information about crime statistics for the three most recent calendar years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus; in On-Campus Student Housing Facilities; in Noncampus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University or a recognized student organization; and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.
