This is mahi that will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it.Te whiwhinga mahi| The OpportunityThe Clinical Leadership team within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a seasoned leader to take on the role as Director- Safe Staffing Healthy Workplace Unit (SSHW).
The SSHW team support the implementation of the CCDM programme across Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora's Hospital and Specialist Services (H&SS).The Director will provide trusted and respected leadership through an inspirational leadership style that enables a new, nationally distributed group to work "as one" and supporting Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora's strategic priorities.
In this role, you will lead and manage the Safe Staffing Healthy Workforce Unit (SSHWU), maintain a CCDM Programme that enables Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora to continue to better align the capacity to care with patient demand, provide team leadership and management ensuring the activities of the Unit are coordinated and consistent.
Working alongside key stakeholders, SLT and ELT, you will maintain the link between operational and governance structures of the CCDM Programme and the Hospital and Specialist system.Great candidates will have proven system-wide experience and strong understanding of NZ's health system with extensive experience in programme development and implementation.
Successfully leading clinical teams through change and achieving improved results while navigating a highly nuanced and complex system will be beneficial.
This is an opportunity to shape the future of healthcare in Aotearoa in an integrated, inclusive work environment that values your expertise.A relevant tertiary qualification(s) preferably at master's level with leadership experience preferably in the health sectorAwareness of TrendCare and the CCDM Programme and application in the operational settingExperience or understanding of working in a bipartite manner understanding the need to work within agreements made by stakeholders.Experience in leading teams, including demonstrated ability to motivate and coach staff.A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
