We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team where you'll be accountable for ensuring we have a comprehensive programme/strategy for health across our business.In this pivotal role you'll work in partnership with the Generation lead team and key stakeholders across the business to develop and deliver Generation and Safety internal communication initiatives that are aligned to Mercury's overall business strategy and drive employee engagement, advocacy and improved business performance.
You'll play a crucial role in creating a safe, healthy and supportive work environment where employees thrive while also creating a transparent, inclusive and engaging internal environment where employees feel valued, connected and motivated.This is an exciting time to join as we strive towards becoming a world-class leader in health, safety and wellbeing with the full support of our board and Executive team.There is flexibility for this role to be based in our Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo or Tauranga offices.Key responsibilities include:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement a robust health strategy for MercuryOversee the implementation of health initiatives, including noise testing/mapping, chemical management and exposure limit monitoring.
You'll also ensure that our $100 health warrant of fitness is integrated into health checksPartner with external organisations to enhance employee health outside of work.
While this is currently being outsourced, we're interesting in exploring new opportunities.Manage not only workplace health but also consider factors beyond the officeWork in conjunction with the wider team to build on our existing wellbeing strategyWe are looking for:
Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Health Promotion, Public Health, Psychology or related fieldProven ability in development and implementing strategic plansStrong analytical skills to conduct risk assessments, data analysis and evaluating the effectiveness of wellbeing initiativesExperience with data collection tools and analysis software an advantageMercury offers (full benefits are listed on our Career Page):
