We currently have a vacancy for a Production Engineering Technician to work within the Production Engineering team, working on New, Current and Special products.
The position offers a varied and interesting variety of work including:
New Product integration, Production support, inspection, jig and tooling design, process improvements and assembly operation documentation.ResponsibilitiesProvide support and input as part of the Production Engineering team during the New Product Development cycleProvide support to the product assemblyTooling, jig and fixture design for Production.Identification and instigation of process improvement activitiesInspection of non-conforming product.Generation of clear instructions to enable assemblyKey requirementsEducation:
HNC (or equivalent) or time served apprenticeshipSelf-motivated and proactive.Experience of Production techniques and best practiceAbility to work from engineering drawings, design notes and CAD modelsComputer literateGood communication skills, both written and verbalThis vacancy sits within our Spectroscopy Products Division which is a market leader in Raman Spectroscopy, providing high end spectrometers and laser products to a worldwide market.Person specificationAs the successful applicant you will be a well organised and self-motivated individual, you will have an appreciation of Production and assembly techniques and show the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels.
