We are seeking to appoint a qualified Occupational Health Advisor (OHA) with extensive experience in occupational health provision in the health care sector.The successful applicant will be suitably qualified, preferably to degree level, and must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Occupational Health).
Candidates should have excellent IT and communication skills and be comfortable interacting at all levels from director to employee.The applicant will work as part of a small team of 5 OHAs and 3 Support Staff and will report to the OH Manager.
Managing their own work and diaries, they will undertake a range of duties within their defined geographical region, including coordinating Occupational Health Link Nurses activities and working closely with a central On-boarding Team local Human Resource coordinators.
The role includes pre-placement screening, health surveillance, case management and post exposure management of medical sharps injuries.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and review of occupational health policies, clinical audit of OH processes, audit of management of health risks, investigation of work-related ill-health on site and supporting the Flu vaccination campaign.
The candidate will be home based and will be required to undertake regular travel to Ramsay facilities in Essex and Hertfordshire, as well as attend meetings in our central offices in Bedford and London.
