Reporting to: Pastry Chef, Sous Chefs & Executive Chef

Background:
Located in Londons Mayfair andoverlooking Green Park, the Royal Air Force Club offers first class facilitiesand a home from home' to its 24,000 members, predominantly serving and former officers of the RAF and Allied Air Forces and their families. Having opened its doors in 1922 the Club is full of history and character. With 110 bedrooms and 10 meeting and banqueting rooms, the Club is a truly hidden gem with modern and elegant interior and facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
To assist in the day to day running of the Pastry Kitchen along with the Pastry Chef.
Duties and Responsibilities
Daily, your role will involve but limited to, creating desserts, pastries, breads & cakes for the Outlets in the club; the dining room, Cowdray lounge, Running horse & functions
With the pastry Chef, create new desserts menus & afternoon tea pastries
Lead the pastry section in the absence of the pastry Chef
Adhere to all relevant Health & safety and food safety requirements
Essential Key Skills:
Good Pastry knowledge and current trends, and a high level of creativity and passion to learn.
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications.
Experience of a similar role in pastry within a fine dining club or restaurant, beneficial but not essential.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, highly adaptable, naturally positive.
Good communication skills, flexibility, and capability of working under pressure.
No service, prep kitchen only
