Senior Estimator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator with a proven track record in high-rise construction.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating and a strong portfolio of high-rise projects.
This role is critical to our project planning and execution, requiring a thorough understanding of high-rise trades and the ability to provide accurate and competitive cost estimates.Key Responsibilities:
Project Estimation:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for high-rise construction projects, including residential and commercial buildings.Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.Identify and quantify all necessary materials, labor, equipment, and other resources required for project completion.Bid Management:
Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids for high-rise construction projects.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure bid accuracy.Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier bids to determine the most cost-effective options.Cost Analysis:
Conduct thorough cost analysis and risk assessments for high-rise construction projects.Provide value engineering suggestions to optimize project costs without compromising quality or safety.Maintain and update historical cost data and unit price databases for high-rise trades.Project Coordination:
Work closely with the project management team to ensure estimates align with project goals and schedules.Participate in pre-construction meetings to clarify project scope and address any discrepancies or concerns.Assist in contract negotiations and scope reviews to ensure accurate and fair agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed reports, including cost breakdowns, assumptions, and justifications for estimates.Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation.Monitor and report on project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., LEED AP, PMP) are a plus.Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on high-rise projects.Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in high-rise construction trades.In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.Proficient in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.If you have an interest in this position please reach out to Matthew via his email at ***
