As a Senior Automation Field Service Engineer specializing in Allen Bradley products, with a focus on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) within the oil and gas industry, your role will be essential in ensuring seamless operations and maintenance of automated systems.
Your expertise in a wide range of Allen Bradley products, including PLCs, HMIs, and various industrial solutions, will be instrumental in optimizing processes within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Allen Bradley PLC and HMI Expertise:

• Develop, implement, and optimize PLC programs using Allen Bradley's ControlLogix and CompactLogix series, including SLC500 and ControlLogix platforms.
• Utilize RSLogix 5000 for ladder logic programming, structured text development, and configuration of ControlNet and DeviceNet networks.
• Create intuitive and dynamic HMIs using Allen Bradley's FactoryTalk View Studio, including FactoryTalk View SE and ME platforms.
• Integrate Allen Bradley PanelView HMIs for real-time data visualization and operator control.

Oil and Gas Industry Focus:

• Apply Allen Bradley solutions, including PanelView HMIs and ControlLogix PLCs, to address specific challenges within the oil and gas sector, such as Compressor Control automation, pump control, and Process Control systems.
• Design and implement customized control systems using Allen Bradley products to optimize upstream, midstream, and downstream processes while ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
• Configure and program PLCs using industry-standard programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text).
• Integrate PLC systems with various sensors, actuators, and machinery for seamless process control.

Technical Troubleshooting and Support:

• Leverage your expertise in Allen Bradley products, including E300s, AB Drives, and RSLinx Gateway, to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
• Utilize the capabilities of RA Asset Center for version control, backup, and recovery of PLC and HMI projects.
• Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
• Provide timely on-site and remote support to address system failures, alarms, and malfunctions.
• Provide both on-site and remote technical support to address hardware failures, communication issues, and software glitches in Allen Bradley systems.

Redundancy Systems and Safety Solutions:

• Implement redundancy systems using Allen Bradley products to ensure high availability and fault tolerance in critical processes.
• Utilize Safety System SIS (Safety Instrumented System) solutions for enhancing safety levels and compliance with safety standards in hazardous environments.
• Design and integrate BPCS (Basic Process Control System) using Allen Bradley components to ensure process efficiency and reliability.

Documentation and Collaboration:

• Install, configure, and commission Allen Bradley systems, including those related to Redundancy Systems and Safety Solutions, for seamless integration within oil and gas facilities.
• Document system configurations, programming modifications, and troubleshooting procedures meticulously for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful deployment of Allen Bradley solutions within the oil and gas industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Allen Bradley products, including PanelView HMIs, RSLogix, FTView, SLC500, ControlLogix, ControlNet, DeviceNet, E300s, AB Drives, RSLinx Gateway, and RA Asset Center.
• Proficiency in programming languages for PLCs, including ladder logic, structured text, and FactoryTalk View Studio development.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and rectify complex technical issues swiftly.
• In-depth knowledge of oil and gas industry processes, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, teams, and stakeholders.
• Integrate Allen Bradley PowerFlex variable frequency drives (VFDs) to control motor speed and performance.
  
• Employ FactoryTalk Historian for data collection and analysis, enhancing decision-making processes.
  
• PLANTPAX and Honeywell DCS experience will be advantageous.
• Willingness to work Overtime and weekend work as needed to ensure satisfactory customer support is provided.
• Willingness to travel to oil and gas facilities for on-site support, installations, and maintenance.
