The Northern Saskatchewan Indigenous Teacher Education Program (NSITEP) - Gabriel Dumont Institute of Native Studies and Applied Research invites applications for the following position:
Sessional Instructor - Gender Issues and Indigenous Studies (INDG 258)

Responsibilities: NSITEP La Ronge requires a sessional instructor for INDG 258 Gender Issues and Indigenous Studies. This course examines the concepts of gender both within and among Indigenous societies. The holism of Indigenous perspectives will be demonstrated.
The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course instruction to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches.
Qualifications: Candidate must possess a Master of Education and /or equivalent combination of training and experience and be approved by the University of Regina. Experience in elementary education is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations are an asset.
Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid
Location: La Ronge, SK (in person)
Term: September 4, 2024 - December 13, 2024
