We currently have an opening for a Civil Engineer (Junior) to join our team in Saskatoon .
You will work with engineers, technologists, and support staff to provide civil engineering services to a variety of public and private sector clients in our Transportation Division.
You will be working on a variety of transportation projects including roadways, highways, airports, and drainage.
Your time will be spit between working in the office and in the field.
In office you will be providing engineering design services, preparing studies, specifications, and contract documents.
On-site you will be providing oversight on construction of projects.
This may include GPS survey, tracking and reporting material quantities, materials testing, and record keeping.
You will also provide support to other members of our team and complete other duties as assigned while working in a collaborative team environment.
As part of the Transportation Division, you will report to the Manager, Highway Design, within the SASK Operation.
Some travel within Saskatchewan will be required as part of your field duties.
You will work out of the Saskatoon office for the completion of your office duties.
Job Requirements
What you will bring:

Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution
Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer-in-Training with APEGS
Strong attention to detail
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license
Willingness and ability to travel within SK as needed
Additional Assets:

1 to 3 years of relevant experience, gained in an academic or workplace setting
Experience in the interpretation of specifications, plans, and regulations
Experience using AutoCAD and other engineering design software
Experience on-site on active construction projects
Experience monitoring and coordinating the activities of contractors and others
