Senior VP, QSR Brands - Role Overview (Montreal, QC or Toronto, ON)

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Senior VP, QSR Brands will ensure that the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands excel in operations, maximize brand awareness and growth, and maintain a dynamic and exciting presence.

This role demands a strategic visionary with operational prowess, capable of leading QSR brands to new heights while ensuring operational excellence and growth.

The role combines brand management with strategic operational oversight to drive results and shareholder value. Key responsibilities include ensuring consistent execution of brands and operational strategies and integrating new acquisitions to support organic growth.

Responsibilities

Brand & Franchise Management:

  • Establish strategies to maximize franchisee profitability and drive brand growth.
  • Maintain and evolve the brand's growth strategy, both organically and through development.
  • Implement and maintain brand guidelines to ensure a consistent global image.
  • Ensure franchise compliance with legal agreements and operational manuals.
  • Maintain strong corporate communications with franchisees and lead regular Franchise Advisory Committee (FAC) meetings.

Operational Excellence:

  • Lead the dependable implementation and consistent execution of Foodtastic's acquisition and integration strategy.
  • Upgrade operational systems for excellence and consistency in food and beverage execution and service delivery.
  • Set and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all operational aspects, ensuring accountability and timely achievement.

Market & Consumer Insights:

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to build brand awareness, equity and affinity.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitor tactics, and consumer behavior to create craveable products and maintain a competitive supply chain.
  • Respect Ad Fund Budget and set clear advertising objectives to ensure consistent branding across all campaigns and markets.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the COO and a collaborative advisor to the Leadership Team.
  • Manage and coach Brands Leaders on operational, development and supply chain matters.
  • Develop and uphold a strong Foodtastic Franchisee support team.

Experience, Skills & Competencies

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Hospitalities or Food Industry.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in the hospitality and food industry, with proven operations leadership.
  • Experience in leading multiple consumer-facing brands, preferably in restaurant or franchise operations.

Technical Skills:

  • Strategic thinker with experience developing (and executing) multi-year brand strategies.
  • Ability to produce innovative and original ideas in response to customer trends and wishes.
  • Proficiency in technology integration and data analytics for operational decision-making.
  • Innovative and progressive, with a keen understanding of emerging industry and market trends.
