Why This Role Is Important?

The PC Masterbrand team drives the brand strategy and marketing execution of campaigns that unify the President's Choice portfolio of brands (PC Food, PC Financial, PC Optimum, PC Express, and PC Health) to deliver enhanced in-market consistency and impact.

The Brand Marketing Specialist, PC Masterbrand provides tactical support for the development and execution of PC Masterbrand campaigns and programs.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, PC Masterbrand is role is an early step in the brand marketing career path, and supports cross-functional campaign teams through close analysis of insights and trends, and owning the details in campaign delivery to ensure seamless execution.

What you'll do:


• Campaign Planning:
Supports the brand team in developing the marketing brief, including compiling consumer/business insights (e.g., insights from the Customer Centre of Excellence) and pulling in relevant past campaign data to advise standard processes


• Campaign Execution - Creative:
Supports the brand team in coordinating with internal/external agency counterparts, and other partners (e.g., Loblaw Media, Loblaw Digital, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, French Translation teams) for the review and approval of creative; closely reviews creative against established brand guidelines, and aggregates feedback provided by collaborators (e.g., Marketing, Grocery & PC Business Team leadership)


• Campaign Execution - Deployment:
Coordinates campaign deployment, ensuring the launch and execution aligns to campaign objectives; proactively monitors in-flight campaigns for optimization opportunities, flags them to the team, and implements decisions; actions other execution-related needs from the Division/Merchant teams, or local store operations, as required


• Optimization, Innovation & Best Practices:
Contributes to the post-mortem process, including working with partners to compile campaign performance report reports with key measures, participating in post-mortem discussions, and documenting findings


• Campaign Metrics & Tracking:
Supports budget planning, development and monitoring/updating (including status reports); updates brand/project/important metric dashboards; contributes to research, analysis and reporting to inform campaign activity


• Billing:
Oversees management of budget report, making sure campaigns are delivered in full against the planned budget. Also responsible for ensuring vendor invoices paid in a timely manner

KPIs & Outcomes:


• Delivering on day-to-day marketing activities, timeline management and plan execution


• Accurate/up-to-date budget tracking and reporting


• Successful execution of projects


• Contribution to the achievement of campaign objectives

What you bring:


• Project management and leadership - experience and ability to lead marketing projects from brief to execution.


• Balancing delivery for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment


• Brand communications, creative & media strategy (traditional and digital media)


• Knowledge of general marketing strategy and business principles


• Developing insights from data & analytics


• 2-3 years of experience
