Le(la) mécanicien(ne) est appelé à faire différentes tâches mécaniques telles :
Effectuer le montage et la réparation de toutes sortes de systèmes à air.
Assembler et réparer tous les types et marques de suspensions.
Effectuer toute réparation de mécanique générale telle qu'assembler les essieux, les freins, les crochets d'accouplement, réparer ou remplacer les planchers, murs, portes, couvertures et autres.
Installer et réparer tous les types de systèmes électriques.
Le(la) salarié peut être appelé à effectuer toute autre tâche connexe à sa fonction.

Formation en mécanique OU expérience de travail de plus de 3 ans dans le domaine de la mécanique.
Être en mesure de comprendre et d'appliquer les principes et les techniques d'assemblage des éléments d'une remorque et de suivre les instructions relatives à l'ordre d'assemblage.
Avoir un bon sens spatial pour se représenter, à partir de diagrammes et de spécifications, la disposition et les connexions entre les pièces et les éléments ainsi que leur fonctionnement normal.
Bonnes connaissances en lecture de plan.
Connaissances de base en soudure (un atout).
