Stuart Olson is currently seeking Insulators for our client site in Cold Lake, AB for a August 2024 start date for a turnaround anticipated to end mid September 2024. Working a schedule of 6 on, 1 off, 12 hours/day Preference given to local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
• Select the amount and type of insulation to be installed as well as a method of securing the insulation according to the type and shape of the surface, whether, or not the equipment is cold or hot, inside or outside, and what the equipment is going to be used for.
• Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required shape and dimensions.
• Fit insulation around obstructions or shape insulation materials and protective coverings.
• Install vapour barriers and finish insulated surfaces by applying metal cladding, plastic or cement.

Working Conditions

• Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
• Working at heights
• Working in and around noise and dust
• Must be clean shaven
• Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Ticket, Proof of hours or Apprentice ID
• Valid Driver's License
• H2S Alive
• Emergency First Aid
• CSTS-09 or Better
• Fall Protection
• Gas Detection
• Pre-access Drug and Alcohol test

Physical Requirements

• Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50lbs. with assistance
• Stand or walk for long periods of time
• Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
• Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
