We are hiring Cooks of all experience levels for The Lookout Restaurant at Gray Monk Estate Winery and at Sandhill Winery with our expanding food program.
Junior Sous Chef, Demi CDP and CDP are both open positions.

• Chefs certificate-apprenticeship program
• 1-3 years of fine dining cooking experience
• Demonstrated strong attitude towards team work.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of culinary terms and practices

• Maintain and deliver the consistently of quality to the food items being prepared.
• Responsible for the quality of food and prep items that are on their station.
• Responsible for the supervision of any demi chefs and apprentices that are working within the kitchen.
• Assist in producing and developing new or old menu items for benefiting the excellent reputation for fine dining.
• Is proficient in meat and fish butchery, sauce making, entremetier, soup making and some good basic pastry knowledge.
• Writes and creates their own mis en place sheets ,and is able to follow the directions and complete these sheets.
• Has some knowledge of purchasing and receiving principles.
• Making sure that all the stations within the kitchen are managed and prepped in accordance with the sous-chef and chefs guide lines.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
