Junior High Social Studies/English Language Arts Teacher Probationary:
August 26, 2024 - June 27, 2025 Location Westwood Community High School FTE 1.0 Start Date August 26, 2024 Closing Date Open Until Filled Westwood Community High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Junior High Social Studies/English Language Arts Teacher.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Education Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Alberta Teaching Certificate, or is eligible to obtain certification in Alberta Experience teaching in a junior high school setting, with knowledge of junior high humanities programs of study.
Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy, and Differentiated Instruction practices.
Effective organizational and classroom management skills are imperative.
Ability to integrate and use technology in a regular and virtual classroom.
Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans and implement the plan for students.
A strong ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Strong technology skills are required, with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.
Flexible TEAM player.
