Job summary: Be part of a fast-growing locally owned and operated Merino wool sock manufacturing company in Okotoks. We manufacture our own popular inhouse Motley brand socks, as well as a few other Canadian brands. This is a home-based company, and we are seeking a Part-time Sock Finisher/Technician Assistant. If you've got a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and love working independently, we want to hear from you. Enjoy a flexible schedule and the opportunity for more hours during fall/winter markets and trade shows. Sock industry experience would be an asset but is not required; we provide full training. Starting wage is $15/hr during probationary period. Potential for more based on experience and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Closing sock toes using a linking machine
• Washing, Forming, Quality control inspection, Pairing & Labeling of socks
• Keeping the finishing room organized, clean and tidy
• Assist in the machine shop when needed
• Help with customer service at fall and winter markets
• The ability to be able to lift boxes of socks (10lbs to 30lbs)
• Must be constantly vigilant to ensure that product is being finished to specifications

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently with little to no supervision
• Ability to distinguish between many colors and shades
• Ability to be professional and courteous at all times
