TWD is currently seeking Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support our client based in Fort McMurray, Alberta or Fly in / Fly out for the right candidate - Schedule4 Day On, 3 Days Off Schedule [10 Hours a day].

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage and/or support the execution of maintenance engineering activities in alignment with industry best practices.
2. Work & collaborate with maintenance execution, Turnaround, planning, operations, cross functional teams [process engineers, E/I engineering, machinery engineering] to fulfill engineering jobs.
3. Prepare and/or review internal and external technical documents ensuring accuracy of content and identification of concerns and opportunities.
4. Develop work scopes for the reliable operation and maintenance of site systems and equipment.
5. Provide technical support and recommendations on all aspects of static equipment, operations, and maintenance.
6. Participate in audits, investigation, and act on recommendations.
7. Lead and/or support troubleshooting efforts and develop viable solutions.
8. Promote & participate in a culture of safety related to engineering jobs.
9. Steer MOC [Management of Change] process and address deliverables.
10. Adhere to training requirements, contractor safety qualification and management requirements, and safe work processes.
11. Ensure that incidents are reported and investigated promptly, and that follow-up actions are completed in a timely manner.
12. Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business unit.
13. Perform field walkdowns and collaborate with maintenance and operations personnel to develop repair plans.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's or higher degree in mechanical/mechatronics engineering and registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA or meet the requirements of the APEGA Inter-Provincial Mobility program.
2. Minimum of 7~10 years of relevant industry experience in oil and gas, or a comparable industry. Technical knowledge of the applicable industry codes, API 510, 570, 574, 653, ASME B16 series, ASME B31.3, ASME PCC-1/PCC-2, CSAZ662.
3. Demonstrated understanding, and the ability to apply applicable Acts, Regulations, and Codes.
4. Knowledge of reliability tools such as Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and/or Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
5. Ability to execute in a dynamic work environment.
6. Ability to visit plant areas as needed and follow HSE Suncor requirements.
7. Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team.
8. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
10. Desire to seek feedback to improve quality of deliverables and to develop existing and new expertise.
11. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud-based business applications.
12. Familiar with AutCad, drawing revision process and knowledge of SAP.
13. Ability to work autonomously yet collaboratively as part of a team.
14. Shows Initiative and drives effective and timely results.
15. Familiar with SAP and Maintenance & Reliability workflow.
16. Valid Alberta Class 5 or equal driver's license.
