About the role With minimal supervision, you'll spearhead various organising, campaign, industrial, and recruitment projects within a Division Organising and/or Industrial Team.
Collaborating closely with Division Officers, the Division Council, Branch Officers, Branch Committees, and other staff at different levels, you'll drive the successful completion of assigned tasks and projects.
This is a full-time position and will be available from 12 June 2024.
You will be located at the SA Division office in Adelaide but will also have specified Branch allocated time which will involve travelling to Flinders University and other universities in SA.
To succceed in this role, we're looking for a demonstrated background and commitment to unionism and advocacy for social justice issues and/or workplace rights; experience in recruitment, organising, campaigning, administration, and database management; elevated digital literacies and online skills and capacities; experience working cooperatively in teams-based environments; exceptional social and interpersonal skills; and knowledge of the tertiary sector and experience in the support of activist networks would be an advantage.
The perks? The position will be filled at either NTEU Level 5 ($93,333 to $100,909) or NTEU Level 6 ($105,372 to $115,515) depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
Terms and conditions for this position are covered by a national collective agreement which has terms comparable with NTEU members in the industry.
