Parade offers a multitude of curriculum options for boys whatever their interest may be; from academic, sporting, music, visual arts and trade options.

Parade College is a Registered Training Organisation that was established in 2013 in accordance with the VET Quality Framework and the requirements of the Australian Skills Quality Authority.
The College provides pre-apprenticeship and VET training to students in years 10, 11 and 12 who are intending on pursuing post-secondary studies either at TAFE or university; apprenticeships, or employment.
The College offers a range of vocational courses to both internal and external secondary students.
Our courses are delivered by fully accredited trainers whose industry based knowledge and skills remain relevant and current.

The College is pleased to announce, our VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM) program at Parade College will become co-educational in 2025.
The College will welcome full-time female student enrolments for the first time in our long history at Year 11.
Starting in Term 1 2025, our VCE Vocational Major program, based at our Preston campus, will be expanding our student offerings by introducing a new Tertiary Pathways Program.
The Tertiary Pathways Program will include a second stream of our highly successful Sport Academy, along with a new Business Academy.
Both academies will provide a bespoke educational opportunity that will allow students to gain direct entry into a number of undergraduate tertiary courses at La Trobe University upon completion of the two-year course.
(This exciting initiative is subject to final approval by VRQA)

Applications are sought for the ongoing position as a Teacher of Sport and Recreation commencing 27 January 2025.
Part-time and full-time applications would be considered.
This position will be based at the Preston Campus.

The successful candidate would:

Be passionate about empowering learners through quality delivery and assessment;
Have the skills and qualifications to deliver programs that provide students with pathways to further education and employment;
Have experience in the delivery and assessment of vocational education and training;
Be enthusiastic, passionate about teaching and able to demonstrate a genuine care for students;
Be prepared to plan, develop and teach programs that cater for the needs of individual students;
Be able to incorporate a variety of teaching and learning strategies;
Have effective interpersonal and communication skills and are able to demonstrate an ability to keep accurate, updated and ongoing records and reports.

Current, or eligibility for, Victorian Institute of Teaching registration is required together with:

a vocational qualification in Sport Science/Sport Administration training package/s;
a current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; and
recent and relevant industry experience and professional development to ensure Industry currency.
