Includes attending meetings as required, writing reports and giving presentations* Estimating material, construction, labor costs and project timescales* Responsible for testing installation, overseeing inspection and maintenance programs* Ensure projects meet electrical and construction safety regulations* Other duties as assigned Job Category Architecture

Job Skills

Qualifications and Experience:* Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university* Registered Electrical and Professional Engineers is required* Minimum of 12 years combined experience as Design Electrical Engineer including building services and construction of hotels, out of which minimum 5-7 years with internationally renowned consultants/construction firm* Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design, familiar with applicable codes, standards and acceptable industry practices* Must have experience in a multi-discipline engineering design or EPC projects* Familiarity with computers and software programs for job costing, online collaboration, scheduling, and estimating also is important* Required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents* Must be pro-active, adaptable and a motivated team player* Fluency in English/Arabic language in both verbal and written communication skills is requiredKey competencies and values:* Client focus - differentiating through tailored skills and depth of client understanding* Excellence - striving for excellence, recognising that excellence is defined by our clients* Trust - building and retaining relationships of trust with our clients, colleagues and business partners* Teamwork - working together as a team for the Group, not just the individual* Responsibility - taking responsibility for our performance and our safety* People - we create an environment for people to realise their full potentialAt Hyder we believe in rewarding our employees for their commitment and endeavours and have designed a flexible benefits package that we feel will suit all of our team.
