Responsibilities:
As an Emergency Room RN, you will be responsible for:
- Providing immediate and effective medical care to patients in emergency situations, including initial assessment, planning, and management of care.
- Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, including doctors, paramedics, and medical assistants.
- Implementing and maintaining patient care plans, and documenting all necessary observations and treatments.
- Supervising and evaluating nursing care provided to patients, ensuring the highest level of care is consistently delivered.
- Coordinating discharge planning with social workers, case managers, and other team members.
- Managing resources effectively, ensuring the emergency department runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Participating in ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of best practices in emergency nursing.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current, valid Utah RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in an emergency department or acute care setting.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Proven experience in assessing, planning, supervising, and evaluating nursing care.
- Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and improving patient outcomes.
