Carrollwood Farms is a family estate farm of over 4,000 acres in North Carolina's Stokes and Rockingham Counties. In addition to the vegetable farming division we also have an agronomy division, a building division, a grounds division, and a sitework and grading division. A hospitality division is being developed. In 2023, we donated over 2200 pounds of produce from the garden.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Electrician/Handyman would be involved in a wide array of hands-on work, primarily performing electrical tasks related to new and semi-new building as well as maintaining existing electrical infrastructure.
Job duties include wiring new structures and additions, from residential to agricultural. While the bulk of the work is residential, there will also be some light industrial work. The work requires the skills of a seasoned electrician, including but not limited to: bending conduit; balancing loads; consulting with local inspectors; wiring larger-amp services such as HVAC units; troubleshooting the farm's existing mechanical infrastructure when the need arises; pulling cable; installing boxes, switches, and receptacles; working with small scall solar projects; managing the electrical needs of fixtures such as heaters and the associated electrical needs of pools; good working knowledge of low voltage and IT wiring; and much more. When there are no pressing electrical needs, the Electrician/Handyman will perform Handyman projects under the direction of the Director of Construction.
REQUIREMENTS
A valid North Carolina electrician's license. A full set of electrician's tools. The ability to perform the wiring tasks listed above at a very high level. A valid driver's license. A high sense of urgency.

Regularly required to travel outdoors between properties/buildings in varying weather conditions.
