Position Summary:
This position reports to the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development. The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to others while being responsible for coordinating their own body of work in a fast paced, dynamic and ever-changing environment. This includes managing multiple priorities simultaneously, while providing timely and accurate reports. The Administrative Assistant is often the first point of contact for both public and educational institution inquiries into Student Placement opportunities and is responsible for supporting the application and recruitment process, including creating electronic student files , ensuring its integrity and accuracy at all times. Advanced computer skills and knowledge, including how to prepare and utilize Excel spreadsheets, create and edit Word documents, navigate a database system and manage an Outlook calendar are essential to the position.

Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities:
2-3 years' experience in a professional administrative role, preferably in a health care setting.
Post-secondary education in, Office Administration or equivalent combination of education and relevant administration experience.
Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, , Outlook )
Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning sensitive issues in a professional manner
High level of initiative and self-direction
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with staff, volunteers, students patients, families, colleagues and physicians
