We are excited to bring on an VP of Account Management of group benefits to join our Group Protection Account Management Team supporting Workplace Solutions in a remote environment.

Background Details

As an VP, Account Management, you will provide strategic leadership to drive results, provide thought leadership and develops relationship management and sales strategies which have substantial impact on increasing market share and sales revenue. for our Group Account Management team. You will lead a department and ensure that the strategy and tactical execution drives optimal sales while creating and maintaining strong client relationships and key constituencies within the group account management organization.

What you'll be doing

• You will lead a dynamic team in an environment that is constantly changing. You will direct and evaluate individual/team performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.

• You will direct, establish, and implement priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure the departmental results are met while evaluating performance and taking appropriate action to meet or exceed performance standards. You will provide strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capabilities and results for your area while contributing to strategic creation.

• You will develop overall sales and relationship management strategy through partnership with senior executive leadership. In addition, you will establish, adhere and oversee the overall sales goals and objectives for your team while overseeing Lincoln's cross-selling objectives to properly position all of Lincoln's financial solutions.

• You will build, enhance and maintain relationships with the most senior contacts at client organizations, ensuring clients' overall service needs are satisfied. You will serve as a representative and participant in industry organizations to provide exposure for the business.

• You will provide thought leadership and advise senior management on relationship management strategies which optimize client satisfaction, achieve desired business results and reduce risk.

• You will develop and propagate a compelling vision that aligns to the broader Lincoln Financial Group strategic intent while leading the overall business/sales plan to achieve sales and growth goals for assigned responsibilities.

• You will develop and oversee the overall financial budgets for your assigned regions.

• You will contribute to the development of complex strategies which have substantial impact on relationship management, sales revenue & increase of market share including anticipating & providing strategies on market and/or sales trends.

What we're looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor's.

• 12+ Years experience in relationship management that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 5+ years of management, strategy, and influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience

• Experience working with brokers/consultants, preferably with sales or account management direct experience.

• Executive presence and communication skills; ability to clearly articulate key points to a variety of audiences and stakeholders.

• Group insurance product knowledge with a proven track record of delivering impactful business results.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 50%

Pay Range: $150,100 - $273,300

Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln's total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln's standard benefits package.
