What You\'ll Do:
Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability across Silgan\'s IT infrastructure.
Implement servers, virtual machines, applications, and system appliances.
Manage Microsoft Windows Active Directory.
Evaluate technology needs and provide recommendations consistent with IT standards.
Participate in the design, architecture, implementation, and maintenance of technology projects.
Monitor and maintain critical IT systems.
Provide support for servers, PCs, peripherals, system appliances, OS, and enterprise applications.
Administer access, permissions, and ensure file system integrity.
Manage patching solutions for OS and software applications.
Implement and maintain server data backup processes, both hardware and systems.
Assist in the management of computer virus protection.
Work with IT management and plant staff to define and implement projects.
Interact with vendors and consultants.
Document new and existing technologies and assist with training and instruction.
Be available for weekly 24-hour on-call support.
Travel to other locations to provide onsite expertise.
What you need to have:
Bachelor\'s degree Information Technology, Computers, or related experience with a focus systems infrastructure.
4 or more years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of server hardware.
and software platforms, PC hardware and software support, general networking, Windows Server platforms, specifically 2008 R2 through 2019, and VMware.
Good knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite, PowerShell, security architecture, databases and applications.
Advanced knowledge of computer security and networking, the OSI model, TCPUPD, and TCP Ports Ability to travel up to 20 percent domestically and internationally MCSA and or MSCE certification, preferred Who We Are:
