Our client a 40+ veteran in the Wisconsin construction community offering services to industrial, commercial, and residential clients is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman due to a surge in business.
This client performs services such as budgeting, pre-construction planning, on-site construction management and contract administration.
This role bases in Germantown, WI and works normal business hours - M-F - 7am-3pm.
Some OT and weekend work is offered at option and pays premium rates for these "off hours." The role pays $30-$45 per hour and includes gas/mileage allowance, profit sharing, 401K and Medical/Dental/Vision paid at 50%.
Qualified Foreman's receive a company vehicle and monthly paid gas.

The Foreman supervises and facilitates timely, efficient, and cost-effective construction projects across the industrial/commercial and residential arena.
The Foreman is responsible for overseeing construction sites, managing building schedules, and acting as the main point of contact between the Field Employees, General Contractors, and the Superintendents.

This role will:

Take responsibility for completing successful projects that exceed General Contractor expectations that are completed on time and within budget.
Direct, organize, and oversee all aspects of work at assigned worksites to assure quality and timely completion of work site requirements.
Appropriately use all resources available including but not limited to assigned crew members, office staff, subcontractors, temp/resource labor and vendors.
Assure safe working conditions and compliance with all safe operating procedures.
Enforce OSHA regulations pertaining to construction safety practices and administer communication to personnel when necessary.
Proactively communicate adequate staffing of jobs including relevant equipment necessary to meet schedules.
Consult with Superintendents daily to review progress and effectively and professionally address problems as they arise.
Assist Superintendents with tracking and costing job changes through work orders and change orders.
Understand and monitor contract proposal terms, scope of work, budget, and Field Files on all projects.
Attend pre-construction meetings for assigned jobs with Project Manager, Project Coordinator and Superintendent.
Review and interpret contract drawings and specifications on job sites as appropriate.
Understand material needs and logistics in order to manage material immediately upon delivery or as soon as practical to ensure the delivery slip matches with the formal purchase order.
Accurately measure and perform layouts according to blueprints.
Assist Superintendents in skills training to develop and maintain a level of competency for all personnel.
Request bulk supplies (Hilti supplies, fasteners, saw blades, etc.) from Superintendent in an appropriate timeframe.
Maintain accurate timesheets for crew on a daily basis while following applicable internal procedures.
Verify quality of product on each assigned project including rough opening and layouts.

QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years recent experience working as a Foreman in the Construction industry.
Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints as well as performing layout.
Ability to operate machinery, power tools, motor vehicles and heavy equipment.
OSHA 10 or 30 hour training.
Proficient with smart phone for calls, emails, calendars as well as accessing files or documents.
Prior experience using Google Docs, Google Drive and Google Calendar or similar programs preferred.
Forklift and Aerial Lift Certifications preferred.
