Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse, under supervision, provides patient-centered nursing care through an interprofessional approach. The role involves delivering compassionate and safe care within defined practice scopes. The focus is on achieving high-quality patient outcomes and promoting a culture of innovation and growth.

Schedule

Shift: PM (2p-10:30p)

FTE: hrs/week

Every 3rd weekend

Holiday rotation

Performs delegated tasks based on evidence-based practice to collect patient data and assist in implementing care plans.
Collaborates with the interprofessional team to meet patient care needs and achieve quality outcomes.
Demonstrates clinical expertise in assigned specialty, adapting care to be age-appropriate and culturally sensitive.
Identifies ways to enhance patient experiences, streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Promotes a professional environment that supports mentorship, engagement, and development.
Maintains positive relationships with team members and physicians to enhance patient care.
Anticipates and manages risks to prevent crises and responds effectively in emergency situations.

Qualifications:

Current Wisconsin LPN Licensure

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)

Physical Demands:

Ability to move freely and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance

Exposure to bloodborne pathogens

Work Environment:

Frequent exposure to sharp objects, occasional exposure to chemicals, and noise

Standing or walking for extended periods, moving patients or equipment

Possible exposure to diseases and hazardous materials

Contact with aggressive patients

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

FTE: 0.9

Location: Appleton, Wisconsin

Overtime Exempt: No
