Campus Description: Texans Can Academies is a Texas Public Charter school serving students in grades 9-12 in Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. About 5,000 students drop out of high school each year. We offer a traditional diploma to the non-traditional student.
We cater to students seeking an accelerated in-person educational opportunity designed to accommodate their need to live life while completing their high school diploma and those who may need a second chance at doing school or a fresh start at a successful finish.

Description/Notes: PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Manage, direct, and administer the School Safety and Security Department, ensuring that all students and staff always enjoy a safe and secure learning environment.
Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS:
We are seeking a candidate that is collaborative, coachable, flexible, and forward thinking. Someone who can not only identify long-term goals and objectives for improvement but create a plan to achieve them. Someone who can project professionalism and leadership during positive and negative situations.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited University in the area (s) of Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field
•Law enforcement certifications: Licensed through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) or a Master Peace Officer license.
•5-7 years of Law Enforcement Experience preferred, a minimum of 3 required
•Meet all Texas School Safety Center requirements.
•Meet all State certification requirements.
•Experience with Marshall or Guardian School Program is highly desired.
Salary Range: $109,956 - $133,279
