Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Business Continuity Lead.
This position will support the Information Security Team's operations in the areas of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Incident Preparedness, and Risk Management in collaboration with other key stakeholders in the business.
This includes but not limited to cross-functional coordination of the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery aspects of work and systems that relate to the delivery of legal services, including the Firm's practice areas and support departments.
Responsibilities:

Review client Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) requirements, questionnaires and assessments and prepare responses.
Collaborate with Technology teams to develop DR strategies which meet business targets for Recovery Time and Recovery Point Objectives.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the Firm's operations.
Maintain required documentation of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery programs such as BC plans, DR plans, Business Impact Analysis, Crisis Management Protocols, and Risk Assessments.
Provide guidance and support to offices, departments, and practices in developing specific continuity plans and ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
Coordinate and facilitate BC and DR exercises, and tabletop exercises to test the effectiveness of existing plans and identify areas for improvement.
Coordinate and facilitate Cyber Incident response tabletop exercises and assist in the development of incident response workbooks.
Collaborate with the Risk Management and IT teams on the ongoing development and implementation of BC and DR programs.
Assist in the development and maintenance of crisis communication strategies and protocols to ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders during emergencies.
Assist with Third-Party Risk Management program; review vendor and service provider questionnaires, collect risk artifacts such as SOC2 reports.
Monitor emerging threats, and regulatory changes to ensure that BC and DR plans remain relevant and compliant with industry standards.
Review automated security alerts, safety notifications, and tickets for indicators of harm and provide support to the organization as needed based on such notifications and requests.
Other duties as assigned based on the ongoing evolution of the Security program.
Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years' experience in an Information Security, Business Continuity, or Disaster Recovery role.
Understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery controls, principles, and standards/frameworks such as ISO 22301.
Experience in Business Continuity planning, Disaster Recovery planning, risk management, and maintaining program documentation.
Experience in facilitating business continuity exercises, training sessions, and crisis simulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to prioritize and work effectively under deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Demonstrate good critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with ability to share constructive insights and proactively collaborate with a focus on continuous improvement.
Industry certifications for Information Security, Business Continuity, or Disaster Recovery such as CISSP, CISM, CBCP, or CBCI are a plus.
