We are seeking a Nashville, TN based Manger of Security Reference Data to join our Security Reference Management Team in Global Technology & Operations.
We are seeking a senior professional who is passionate about solving challenging issue with technology solutions.
Security Reference Management (SRM) provides financial security data on Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives to internal Departments for the management of clients and fund investment activities.
The security data is maintained within a security master system by SRM Team and then feeds downstream to other systems for trading, investment, risk, accounting, and compliance used by our internal departments.
What You'll Do:
This is a people-leadership role responsible and accountable for building and establishing the reference and master data capabilities across the firm.
In this role you will promote data consistency, accuracy, and completeness with data standards.
The Manager Security Reference Master is a subject matter expert in their discipline and defines the scope and priorities for developing, deploying and/or improving data management standards, policies, and processes enhancing the quality and completeness of the organization s data.Applications and business or enterprise functions the role supportsSecurity datais maintained in two security master systems CADIS for automated securities and APEX for manual securities.
AllianceBernstein has relationships with the major industry vendors, such as Bloomberg, Interactive Data, CUSIP Web, and DTC.
This role will also be exposed to other internal downstream systems, such multiple Accounting Systems and Trading/Order Management systems.
This role will support the following internal Departments, but not limited to:
Portfolio Management Group, Trade Support, Client Guidelines, Client Reporting, Private Client, Insurance Operations, Pricing & Valuation and Corporate Actions.
Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited toLeads a team of analysts/specialists that can navigate a fast-paced environment with the potential for frequent course changes.Implementation of data policies and standards including documentation, maintenance, and enforcement.Defines and implements overall data quality strategies, processes, and methodologies; Oversees data quality architecture and governance; Documents and gains consensus on business and IT service-level agreements (SLAs) for improving data quality; Performs data quality monitoring and assurance; Develops and implements communications strategy regarding data quality.Develop short- and long-range plans regarding the strategic direction, requirements, and operational needs of Data Management.Assists with overall funding strategy; forecasts resource and budget needs and directs the evaluation of systems and technologies to meet the data management requirements of the business.Partners with the business to analyze and understand business requirements.Ability to work closely with development teams on complex data analysis to ensure strategic alignment of business and technology goals related to the implementation and usage of reference master data.Serves as an inclusive leader by proactively seeking out different perspectives both internally and externally.Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of roleWhat makes this role unique or interesting(if applicable)?The SRM Manager will be responsible for the data strategy for the firm.
