POSITION PURPOSE
The Monitor Tech, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, must be able to work under stressful conditions, and greet the public with a cheerful, positive attitude.Must demonstrate willingness to assume responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of clerical services in the nursing areas.Must be familiar with hospital policies and procedures.A primary function is to monitor the telemetry status of each monitored patient and communicate dysrhythmias to the nursing staff.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
Must have high school diploma, or equivalent.EKG and Rhythm interpretation required within 6 months of hire.
Must provided diploma or transcripts from education upon hire.
Experience:
Minimum of one year experience with clerical duties preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
BLS certification within 6 months of assignment to position
