SUMMARY:

Responsible for effectively maintaining all plumbing equipment throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Performs skilled duties primarily as a Licensed Plumber based on experience and certification.
Responsible for performing routine maintenance procedures, troubleshoots all equipment maintenance problems, assists in other areas of facilities as directed.
Assists with training and orientation of existing new staff.
Participates in projects assigned to the department, performs all required preventative and corrective maintenance work orders, troubleshoots problems with facility equipment involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing or HVAC failures.
Unclogs sanitary and raw drain systems
Routinely inspects all plumbing equipment, identifying potential problems, and resolving same.
Maintains an adequate supply of materials related to plumbing.
Ensures structural integrity of existing plumbing systems, making recommendations for improvements, as appropriate.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable plumbing standards and codes.
Maintains all logs necessary to conform to established standards.
Ensures adherence to all OSHA safety requirements and casino safety policies.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Valid Indiana state approved Plumbing license required with Backflow Certification preferred.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires a Level4 Gaming License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee is regularly required to climb a twelve-foot ladder.

The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is regularly exposed to risk of electrical shock and danger of exposure to various chemicals used in the maintenance of the property.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. A casino environment is typically smoky.
