About the role

The successful candidate will be on a high caliber, visible team which builds solutions with a direct impact on rentals revenue. We work with both homegrown tools and modern industry standard technologies.

You will focus on backend leaning full-stack development and improvement of new and existing features.

You Will Get To:

• Be responsible for what you build by carefully architecting, thoughtfully implementing, thoroughly testing and actively monitoring.

• Learn and grow with the team by sharing our work in our team presentations.

• Have your ideas considered and potentially make it into a product.

• Collaborate with other engineering teams, in or outside of rentals, including operations, design, customer services, billing, sales, and other teams.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• Comfortable and confident setting technical direction, performing code reviews, answering questions, and guiding more junior engineers

• Can empathize with the many different users

• Have the ability to solve complex problems with practical, maintainable, high quality and scalable solutions

• Have self-awareness and strive to continually improve

Qualifications

• 6+ years of backend experience (Java, Object Oriented Programming, databases, SQL, microservices, APIs, TestNg/JUnit)

• Proven experience building UIs with modern tools like ES6, React, Typescript, Webpack

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar degrees, or related field or years of equivalent industry experience

• Licenciatura en Ciencias de la Computación, Ingeniería Informática u otros títulos similares, o experiencia laboral equivalente en años.
