About Our Opportunity
As the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Valenz, you will lead the financial team in budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and strategic analysis to ensure sound financial decisions. You will develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives, conduct variance analysis, and provide actionable insights. Your role includes overseeing the preparation and review of financial reports for senior management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with business objectives, and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Additionally, you will provide leadership and mentorship to the financial planning team, ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and support M&A activities with integration planning.

Things You'll Do Here

:
Strategic Financial Leadership and Execution

Translate the department's vision into actionable financial strategies and execution plans, and ensure these strategies are effectively communicated to drive organizational alignment and support strategic decision-making.
Lead the development and implementation of robust budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
Design and enhance financial models to support strategic initiatives and drive business growth.
Act as a strategic advisor to senior management, providing insights on financial performance, strategic initiatives, and growth opportunities.
Partner with key stakeholders across departments to ensure cohesive execution of financial strategies and alignment with business goals.
Advanced Financial Analysis and Reporting

Develop and oversee comprehensive financial reporting systems for senior management, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Perform in-depth variance analysis to provide strategic insights and drive informed decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with overarching business objectives and strategic goals.
Process Innovation and Optimization

Spearhead initiatives to streamline financial processes, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement best practices in financial planning and analysis to support continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Ensure rigorous compliance with financial regulations and standards, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.
Lead the FP&A Team

Provide visionary leadership and mentorship to the financial planning team, cultivating a culture of innovation and high performance while driving talent development to ensure the continuous growth and capability enhancement of team members.
Lead the transformation of financial planning functions, fostering agility and adaptability in response to evolving business needs.
Additional Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive financial integration plans for acquired entities, ensuring seamless operational transitions.

What You'll Bring to the Team

:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field. MBA, MOF, or MSF preferred.
5+ years of experience in a leadership role and 8+ years of experience in a financial role.
Experience successfully leading financial planning and analysis teams in complex organizations, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results.
Strong ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders, including senior management and external parties.
Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Advanced knowledge of strategic financial planning, including long-range planning and scenario analysis.
Working knowledge working with financial systems and tools, such as ERP systems, BI tools, and advanced Excel skills.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex financial challenges.

A plus if you have :

Applicable certifications such as CPA, CFA, CMA, or related.

Where You'll Work
This is hybrid role. We have an office in Radnor, PA and seek to work in-person a handful of times each month. Outside of in-office collaboration days, this individual can expect to work from home/remote as they desire.
