Senior Front-end Software Engineer

What will you do:

Senior member of a team of front-end engineers responsible for building ui applications and libraries that deliver delightful checkout experiences.

Who are you

You are a strong communicator and technical mentor who is a relentless team and self improver. You have a deep understanding of the web-ecosystem and how browsers work. You are excited to work closely with your Tech Lead to set your team up for success, take ownership, and lead by example.

Requirements
• Experience as a senior front-end engineer working with Javascript.
• Strong communication skills and desire to work cross-functionally.
• Hands-on developer who writes high quality, secure code that is modular, functional and testable.
• Working knowledge of the different frontend architecture patterns and their tradeoffs.
• Ability to contribute to architecture decisions and improve our development practices.
• Passion about quality, automation, and making sure your application is tested at the right level.
• Experience migrating technologies as the web evolves with an eye for common migration issues and whats next.

Nice to have
• Experience with Vue JS UI Framework and writing headless libraries in plain javascript.
• Some experience writing microservices either in node or another non javascript language.
• Experience in an Agile environment and knowledge of the SDLC.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
