JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-Mammography TechnologistMAMMO TECHFull-Time

Mammography Technologist candidates will have the following job responsibilities:

Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
Complies with FDA and MQSA regulatory requirements.
Adheres to Orlando Health mission statements and strategic imperatives.
Assessesthe patient's physical condition and age specific needs.
Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results.
Performs proper patient identification, acquires patient's clinical history, and assures that the information is accurately documented.
Positions patient, equipment, associated devices and manipulates technical factors, to achieve desired high-quality images for interpretation.
Assesses diagnostic images for technical quality, proper annotation, patient identification, and ensures that all breast anatomy is demonstrated according to MQSA/ACR guidelines.
Applies principles of radiation safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
Requires utilization of Radiology Information System to accurately show arrival and completion of exams, correct coding of procedures done, and retrieval of reports.
Utilizes sterile technique for sterile procedures in accordance with OH policy and training. Administers medical aid as required for any emergency.
Comprehends and complies with Quality Control standards and participates in all Quality Control tasks.
Applies appropriate standard precautions and personal protective equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases.
Utilizes all Corporate Radiology computer systems effectively and accurately.
Ensures safety of all customers.
Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies, department guidelines and education requirements.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS-Mammography TechnologistMAMMO TECHFull-Time

Mammography Technologist candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

Produces mammograms and assists in Mammographic procedures
Demonstrates acceptable proficiency in performing routine diagnostic radiography as defined by department standards as referenced in the department procedure manual and Merrill's Technical Reference Book
Must complete all mammography patient history forms clearly and concisely
Ability to keep patient, family members, and other visitors informed of patient's progress/delays as they occur
At least one year of experience
Active registry license in the state of Nevada: ARRT, RT (R) (M) certification
American Heart Association BLS/ CPR certified (within 60days)
Working knowledge of the English language (reading, writing, speaking)
Possess computer skills to complete online learning requirements (within 90days)

$36.12-50.56/hour
