Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler II- 1st Shift. The regularly scheduled hours are Monday through Friday from 6:
00 am to 2:
30 pm. The rate for this position is $21.25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Assembler II is primarily focused on assembly for our welding department and assisting the welding team as needed. The Assembler II will help with large-part construction through assembly and regularly handle up to 50-pound parts and materials. This role has the potential to advance within our welding department to various positions.

In this function, you will:

Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components
Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips, and other fastening devices
Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams
Remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough spots from workpieces using grinders, brushes, or scrapers.
Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large-part construction
Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to:
• Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout the shop floor and office areas.
• Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to:
layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals, and status to the shop floor.
• Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Position Criteria:

Able to stand on feet continuously during working shifts.
Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion.
Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
Handle materials that pertain to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day
