Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in servicing high-net-worth individuals, with a focus on gift tax planning and compliance. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with prestigious clients and provide strategic tax solutions that align with their financial goals.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management

Serve as the primary tax advisor for high-net-worth clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.

Understand clients' financial objectives and provide tailored tax advice to optimize their tax positions.

Conduct regular reviews of clients' tax situations and recommend proactive strategies.

Tax Planning & Compliance

Develop and implement sophisticated tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize savings.

Oversee the preparation and review of complex individual, gift, and trust tax returns.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and stay updated on changes in tax laws.

Gift Tax Expertise

Provide specialized advice on gift tax planning, including the use of trusts, charitable giving, and wealth transfer strategies.

Advise clients on the implications of significant gifts and help structure gifts to align with clients' estate planning goals.

Prepare and review gift tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Conduct training sessions on tax planning and compliance topics, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Collaborate with other departments to integrate tax strategies with clients' overall financial plans.

Client Representation

Represent clients in tax audits and disputes, providing expert guidance and support throughout the process.

Liaise with tax authorities on behalf of clients to resolve issues and ensure favorable outcomes.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax planning and compliance, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals and gift tax.

In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws, including recent changes and developments.

Proven experience in managing complex tax situations and providing strategic tax advice.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop a team of tax professionals.

Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
