Role Overview:

I am working with a client who is looking for a talented Medical Director to join their leadership team. In this role, you will utilize your medical and scientific expertise to steer clinical development strategies. Your contributions will be crucial in advancing their mission to deliver groundbreaking treatments, specifically by leading phase 2 and 3 clinical trials and ensuring they adhere to the highest scientific and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Development Leadership:
Provide expert medical and scientific guidance in the creation of clinical strategies and protocols, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Clinical Trials Management:
Oversee the execution of phase 2 and 3 clinical trials, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as clinical operations, regulatory, and pharmacovigilance.
Patient Safety Oversight:
Monitor the safety of trial participants, ensuring compliance with eligibility criteria and ethical guidelines.
Investigator Engagement:
Work closely with investigators, offering expert advice on protocol design, procedural aspects, and strategies for patient recruitment and retention.
Regulatory Submissions:
Lead the clinical components of regulatory submissions, including IND applications, IBs, CTAs, BLAs, and other required documentation.
Scientific Communication:
Contribute to the writing of abstracts and manuscripts based on clinical trial results, and present data and scientific information to various organizational levels.
Business Development Support:
Assist in identifying and evaluating potential business development opportunities that align with strategic objectives.

Requirements:

MD degree is required.

Board certification in Rheumatology or Neurology is highly desired.

At least 5+ years of clinical research experience.

Preferably, experience in clinical trials within autoimmune indications in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO industries.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
